Laven Der Weather

A three box collage with one framed of iced black lavender tea, another of lavender sugar and a third of a hot lavender latte Bring On Spring

April showers bring May flowers; what a rainy week it's been. Spring reminds me of the Indian monsoon, well, kinda lol (it's usually 80-85'F In Mumbai, India, even when it rains in India). Speaking of spring flowers, we have added a brand new product to our floral sugar blends.

Introducing "DRUMROLL" Lava, Lavender Sugar. La.va in Sanskrit means Peace. This product is inspired by calming lavender blooms. We hope it gives you a taste of sereni'tea.

The Chai Bar's Lavender Sugar is made using 100% Organic Granulated Cane Sugarhand-blended with fragrant lavender buds. Granulated sugar can be made from sugar cane or sugar beets. Our 100% organic sugar is made from 'Saccharum officinarum' or sugar cane. On a molecular level, the two sugars are similar. In taste, we find cane sugar more appealing for beverages.

We love bringing you products that are tas'tea and good for you. In moderation, cane sugar is a much better option than artificial sweeteners, especially if you are craving a sweet treat.

Cane Sugar is a simple carbohydrate that your body uses for energy by processing it the same way it breaks down the sugar found in dairy, fruits, or grains.

When we talk about moderation, we mean a balance of taking in no more calories than you use. While occasionally storing energy is healthy, when your intake of glucose is higher than the body's needs, the overspill is stored in fat cells in order to maintain blood glucose levels.

We won't ever tire of saying, balance is key when it comes to any sweet treat. Treat your body with the care it deserves for helping you carry on through every day. Reward it, treat it, thank it but also respect its limitations.

As the temperatures warm up, we are all heading outdoors for lawn and garden work, walks, swims, and more socially distanced outdoor activities, so an occasional treat of lavender sugar should be just fine.

Since you love our Lavender & Marigold Green Tea Anurakti and our Marigold & Lavender Black Tea Mangalyam, we are sure you will love lava lavender sugar.

We use dried lavender buds and lavender essence for our Lavender sugar. Lavender is popular for its health benefits. It is often used in aromatherapy. For us, drinking chai is a sacred ritual. It's "me time" to get going before the craziness of the morning starts or refresh mid-day or maybe just unwind from the grind before bed. Adding floral sugar to our chai is a little bit of self-indulgence.

The scent is directly associated with mood. The floral scent of lavender can be uplifting and reduce stress. Adding a bit of lavender sugar to your beverage can have a calming effect and may reduce anxiety to help you relax.

So add a tsp of sugar to your strained cup of chai or coffee or use it to sweeten cold drinks like lemonade. You can even make a dramatic statement of cocktail night. Try Mixologists Meadow 2.0, our Lavender boozy brew.

The Chai Bar's Lava Lavender sugar can be used for cooking and baking too. Sprinkle it on creps, rotis, cakes, and cookies.

TEA'P: Try with iced chai for a chilled floral brew.

The perfect tas'tea pairing for lavender sugar coffee or chai is Khari, a popular Indian puff pastry invented in Islamic Spain in the 13th century.

We hope you enjoy our brand new product and show us some love
