clear brew that's just right for you, roasted black Tea leaves picked from the foothills of the Himalayas hand-blended with flowers, fruits, and spices. 

This Chilled Chai blend is inspired by hot Indian summers filled with thirst-quenching lemonade.

This loose-leaf blend is a tin full of sunshine. Our Citrus Chai is made with roasted Assam Black Tea Leaves hand blended with zesty lime, tangy oranges, and saffrony marigold. Inspired by hot Indian summers, this cup of citrus chilled Chai makes us feel super refreshed.

Zesty orange rind dryness, with hints of soft, sweet citrus and cooling heat from ginger and pepper.

My childhood was filled with summer afternoons playing hop-scotch after school in the humid Bombay heat. Whenever a handcart rolled by, all the children would gather around to get their fill of chilled lemonade. 

Since moving to Ohio, I have started loving Sweet Tea, 

We put our love for Iced Tea and lemonade to make this blend. Iced Tea Lovers galore, add  Lava Lavender Sugar, and make a sweet, sweet tea, haha. 

Apart from the zes'tea taste of this blend, just like our other blends, we put thought and love into picking the ingredients. 

As you know, our Signature Summer Chilled Chai - Sugrisma has internal cooling properties. The herbs and spices selected for Sugrisma help lower body heat and aid digestion

Similarly, Citrus Chai has antioxidant properties. Black Tea in itself contains polyphenols that have antioxidant properties.

Drinking Tea may help decrease the risk of chronic disease and improve your overall health.

Black Tea also contains flavonoids, which can benefit heart health. 

Drinking black Tea can also help reduce cholesterol and regulate LDL levels. 

Black Tea has antimicrobial, which may help improve gut health and boost immunity. The addition of Orange and Lemon peels adds vitamin C to the mix, further boosting immunity and reducing inflammation. Adding lemon and orange to the blend boosts weight loss too. Just skip the sugar. 

The citrus also helps relieve congestion, so while we recommend drinking this Chai as a chilled chai, you can always add a few spices and drink it hot. 

Our floral addition to this blend, Marigold, has plenty of health benefits too. Indian traditional medicine uses marigold in tinctures for digestive ailments. Marigold tea can reduce cramps and aid digestion. 

It can relieve symptoms like nausea and menstrual digestive issues like bloating. It is also considered a relaxant. Perfect for summer, right?

Adding ginger and pepper helps cool the body during summer and adds mild heat to the blend kicking it. Ginger has several beneficial properties


Simply steep 1 tbsp chai in 1 cup hot water, add honey and enjoy. 

Or add citrus simple syrup for an extra something. 


In a saucepan, add 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, large chunks of citrus rind, heat over medium heat, and reduce down until sugar is dissolved. Strain all citrus peels. Store syrup in the fridge.

  2. Orange Peel Simple Syrup
  3. Water 
  4. Ice 


  1. Ratio of 1 tbsp Chai to 1 Cup water; Add Citrus Chilled Chai blend to chilled water.
  2. Chill overnight in fridge
  3. Strain 
  4. Keep Chilled until ready to serve
  5. Add to a tall glass filled with ice 
  6. Add simple syrup
  7. Garnish with an orange twist or lemon wedge. 

TEA'P: To make a citrus beverage, add a splash of orange juice to the chilled Chai 

TEA'P: Try this blend with a tas'tea pairing like Vegetable Galette or an orange berry salad. 

We know y'all are always up for a boozy brew recipe. 

This time we are making Sangria with a Tea'wist 



  1. The Chai Bar's Citrus Chilled Chai 
  2. Orange Peel Simple Syrup
  3. Water 
  4. Your fav dry red wine (decanted) OR A fruity sweet white wine (non-sparkling is best) 
  5. Orange slices 


  1. Prepare Chai Concentrate 
  2. Chill 
  3. Add simple syrup
  4. In a pitcher, combine wine, Tea, orange slices. Chill overnight
  5. Serve over ice.
  6. Garnish with an orange twist or lemon wedge. 

TEA'P: Garnish with fresh basil or mint. 

With summer around the corner and vaccinations increasing, we are all set to ease restrictions and open up more venues here in the USA. More socializing = more exposure to pollen and other viruses.
